The project was carried out to ensure the traceability of the glass shelf-product component relationship.

In refrigerator production, the glass shelf component had to match the correct product and this match had to be traceable on a product basis.

Lot-based tracking and SAP synchronization
Glass shelves mounted on products were tracked and recorded based on lot numbers. By scanning glass shelf carts at the relevant station, glass shelf lot numbers were associated with the product serial number, establishing integration with the traceability system. This structure secured the component-product match, ensuring the use of correct glass shelves in correct products. Confirmation data for compliant parts was written back to SAP.
